Welcome to my website and thanks for visiting Hants West. We have lots of information available to you which is updated regularly to keep on top of current events and other things happening around the constituency. I hope you find it useful and helpful.

The constituency of Hants West consists of the Town of Windsor, the Town of Hantsport and the Municipality of West Hants serving a total population of approximately 20,000 people.

I encourage you to personally visit our area as we have lots to offer, after all we are the home of the Birthplace of Hockey, High Tides along the Minas Basin, King's Edgehill - Canada's First Independent School and where else could you row across a lake in a Giant Pumpkin during our annual Pumpkin Regatta.

Reminder - School is in

Just a reminder that the new school zone law is now in effect. The Safer School Zone Act means drivers will have to reduce speed in school areas to 30 km/h, in a 50 km/h zone, when children are present.

The Three Mile Plains/Wentworth and Falmouth Water Utilities are pleased to offer their customers a rebate on their next water invoice if they install a Low-flow showerhead and/or toilet.

By removing older fixtures and installing low-flow options, you reduce your water consumption. Lower water consumption helps the environment and saves you money without changing your daily habits. For more information, see the attached brochure and application below.

Eligible Seniors Reminded to Apply for Property Tax Rebate

Eligible seniors can receive up to $800 to help cover the cost of home ownership by applying for the Property Tax Rebate program.

The program is available to seniors who receive the federal Guaranteed Income Supplement, live in their own homes, and paid their previous year's property taxes in full. Applications can be submitted between July 1 and Dec. 31.
